Land & Water Clean Up

Join us for a clean up of our Bay on land, kayak, boat and paddle board with Kostal Paddle and Long Island Boat Rentals. All ages are welcome to help clean up and make a difference! At our last clean up we picked up over 100 pounds of trash!
(children under 12 must be supervised by adults)
Location: North Hempstead Beach Park, Meet at Kostal Paddle Shed in the middle of beach. You can use either entrance to the park.
All kayak, paddle board and boat use will be FREE thanks to our partners, Kostal Paddle and Long Island Boat Rentals.
What to bring? water, old clothes, protective shoes that can get wet, hat, sunscreen, and bug repellent
What we will provide? Latex gloves, trash bags, and some drinks and snacks

The PW Clean Waterways Initiative came out of the Residents Forward 2018 Port Washington Youth Climate Summit.
Students will be educating and uniting the Port Washington community with action projects to solve pollution in our waterways. Their goal is to inform people of the problem, gets people involved and spur action to make our waterways cleaner.
