Yarn Arms Launch & Press Conference

Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, and NY State officials will join Residents Forward — along with project director and fiber artist Allison White — to announce and celebrate the installation of Yarn Arms Around Port. This project has brought together 60 Port residents to crochet granny squares and hands, which have become yarn arm “hugs” to be wrapped around 50 Port Washington trees for the month of April. Residents Forward will also announce the winners of its “I Love Trees” Video Contest–one of the environmental initiatives launched in conjunction with Yarn Arms Around Port. Join us!
