Student Led Beach Clean Up

June 14 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Join Isabella and Alexandra Marks, two students from our Youth Climate Summit, as they host a clean up at North Hempstead Beach. Meet at the picnic tables near the bath house. Trash bags and disposable gloves will be provided.  

Clean Up with Kostal Paddle

June 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

June 25th is the last day of school. Kids arrive home early in the morning. Grab your sunscreen and hat and meet us at the beach! Join Residents Forward and Kostal Paddle as we clean up Manorhaven Beach. Help out on land and at sea! We will provide gloves and garbage bags.

2021 Residents Forward Youth Climate Summit

Residents Forward is organizing their second Youth Climate Summit on Long Island to cultivate the next generation of environmental leaders. The Summit is open to 100 students grades 8-12. While the Summit is free to students, each seat has a $200 value which has been generously paid for by our sponsors. Students are asked to work towards a group Climate Action Project within a year’s time. Click here to fill out an application. Our fully virtual summit will begin with a keynote speaker on February 27th at 11am. It will follow up with 3 workshops (see below) and a final session dedicated to creating projects from what inspired you. We ask you to attend the keynote speaker, 2 workshops of your choice and the final work session. Green Team Leaders take what they learn about being green and protecting our earth, and get loud about it! They share facts and tips with friends, family, teachers and anyone who will listen.
